Angh warns on Aboi land claim

KOHIMA, NOV 5 (MExN): Lonwang Kai-he Angh and the Kai-he clan of Langmiang Village has denounced the opposition from certain individuals towards the setting up of the 6th NAP camp at Aboi as highlighted in a section of the local print media. C Lonwang Angh clarified through a statement that he was the Kai-he Angh of Langmiang Village and for this reason he warned that for the land in question no Chingkao-Wangti Kai-he had the right to claim it. The Angh asserted that no other persons, including those airing their grievances or opposition, through press release in the media, had the right in any circumstances to comment on the setting up of the designated 6th NAP camp on Langmiang-Nganching soil. In this regard the Langmiang Kai-he Angh and his clan strongly condemned what it was termed as ‘false statement’ made by two persons, namely Y Popa Chingkao Chingyu and Yanpho of Wangti Village recently in the local media. Taking serious view in this regard the Angh affirmed that ‘heavy’ action would be initiated against the duo since “it has no consent from the Langmiang Kai-he Angh.”

The Angh also affirmed that the decision taken by the Langmiang Village Council would be final on this particular issue.
