ANPDU condemns burning of oil tankers 

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 6 (MExN): The All Nagaland Petroleum Dealers Union (ANPDU) today condemned the February 4 incident where several oil tankers were burnt at Khatkati, creating panic among the people of the area. A press release from the ANPDU President, Akokla P Lucy and Vice President, Akho Neikha meanwhile clarified that “fuel station owners in Nagaland are not at all involved in any kind of illegal syndicate or fuel adulteration activities.” The union cautioned “all those kingpins of Nagaland involved and indulging in fuel adulteration for tarnishing the image of all the fuel station owners of Nagaland.” It meanwhile urged the State Government to crack down on illicit activities involving fuel adulteration with stern action at the earliest and to inform its counterparts not to allow such activities in their states, especially in the border area of Assam and Nagaland.
