Ao organisations notify on relaxation of restrictions

Mokokchung, May 4 (MExN): In relation to the lockdown in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, three apex organizations of the Ao community have today issued a notification relaxing certain restrictions. 


The notification jointly issued by Ao Senden, Watsü Mungdang and the Ao Kaketshir Mungdang stated that the whole of Nagaland state being declared Green Zone, the burial of deceased may be allowed in the bereaved families’ preferred burial site. It was also mentioned in the notice that the Nagaland state government as well as medical experts have clarified that there was no threat posed by the burying of COVID-19 victims, if any.


The three apex bodies also extended appreciation to the villages in the border belt who they said have been sincerely participating in sealing the border and appealed to them to maintain their continued effort to completely seal the border.
The three apex bodies further informed that the villages and wards under urban areas relax the lockdown by opening their village gates and domains. It was also informed that movement of farmers be allowed without any restriction.


The three bodies also stated that the whole of Nagaland was declared placed under the Green Zone because of the participation and cooperation of the public with the authorities.
