Kohima, September 17 (MExN): Officials of Kohima Municipal Council, Association of Kohima Municipal Wards Panchayat (AKMWP), Kohima Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and Kohima Smart City during a joint meeting on September 4 discussed The Green Line experiment in the city.
Borne out of the sheer voluntary initiative of the citizens of Kohima, all present in the meeting extended its appreciation to one and all for donating the potted plants that are being placed all across to facelift the city, stated a press release issued by Kovi Meyase, Administrator, KMC.
The meeting deliberated on the other aspect of maintenance of these potted plants and thanked the KCCI for the appeal issued to its members to not only maintain but also donate plants towards extension of The Green Line. The house also deliberated that the AKMWP will also appeal to the wards for a similar course of action within their respective jurisdictions and the KMC shall render all possible assistance towards the common effort.
Officials from Kohima Smart City presented a brief on the Green Belt Development Project that is on the anvil and shared how this project will compliment The Green Line Experiment in Kohima.
Meanwhile, it also appealed to all allied departments and associations or organisations in the district to help and render assistance and join hands towards extending The Green Line in the city.
