Approach road to Longleng cemetery dedicated

Longleng, July 18 (MExN): As part of COVID-19 activities, the District Administration under the initiative of Deputy Commissioner, Longleng M Shayung Phom constructed the approach road leading to Longleng cemetery. The road was dedicated in the presence Government offices, church leaders, NGOs and civil societies of the district on July 18. 

In his short speech, the DC appealed to the NGOs, churches and DBs to maintain the road and come up with certain rules to avoid using the road for plying of heavy vehicles. The DC also shared how he was inspired by COVID-19 to construct the road for the people of Longleng.  

The DC lauded the officers, DBs led by Shingli Phom DB and Shilu Phom DB for their labour from beginning to the end and Pongshi Contractor, EE PWD (R&B) and Highway for providing machineries for construction of the road.

While leading the dedication prayer the Pastor Longleng Town Baptist Church, Beau Phom asserted that the people of Longleng have been planning for construction of the road since 2010. He lauded the District Administration led by DC for translating the dreams of the people into reality and providing essential public service.
