AR holds poster making & painting competition

Peren, December 15 (MExN): Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (N) conducted a Poster Making and Painting Competition at Government High School, Peren, Government Middle School, Heningkunglwa and ARPS, Jalukie under Swatchata Pakhwada. A total of 247 children of all three schools took part in the event.

The children spread the awareness about importance of cleanliness in day to day life and the ill effects of unhygienic conditions through their drawings. They were also made aware about the Swatch Bharat initiative of the Government of India.

The teachers and students appreciated the efforts of security forces for conducting the event and urged for more such events to be planned in future to make a congenial and clean environment in the region.
