Dimapur, December 28 (MExN): A total of 110 patients from Pfutsero sub-division were given treatment, including screening for diabetes, during a free medical camp organised by 9 Assam Rifles in Pfutsero Town on December 20.
The aim of the medical camp was to provide free medical treatment to the local populace where requisite medical facilities are not available, the AR informed in a press note.
A specially constituted medical team under Chief Medical Officer 2IC N Sandhyarani conducted the medical camp, it said
Apart from providing medical assistance, basic knowledge on health education including precautions from common viral diseases, importance of hygiene and sanitation were also imparted to the villagers, the release added.
