Tuli, December 30 (MExN): Based on specific information about consignment of IMFL, troops of the Assam Rifles launched an operation at Tuli on December 22 and intercepted one Maruti Alto bearing registration No AS 05 B 8711 carrying 228 bottles of Rum (Mc Dowell’s) amounting to Rs 91,200 (Rupees Ninety one thousand two hundred only).
The AR in a press release stated that the apprehendee, namely Rahim Ali along with recovered items was handed over to Tuli police station for further investigation.
In another case, troops of the Assam Rifles launched an operation at Paper Nagar - Tuli Town road on December 20 and intercepted one TATA Sumo bearing registration No AS 23F 4745 carrying 600 bottles of Rum (Mc Dowell’s) amounting to Rs. 2,40,000 (Rupees two lakhs and forty thousand only).
The apprehendees, identified as Imti Ao and Tia Ao along with the recovered items were handed over to Tuli police station for further investigation.
