Artificial problem of today

•-Presently there are good number of senior officers who are left without entitled facilities like Government vehicles, designated office accommodation and attached staffs such as stenos and peons reason being “shortage”.
To my opinion this shortage problem is partly because number of retired officers, are re-employed as advisors and consultants on honorarium basis. And this category of employees retains the govt. vehicles, drivers, designated official rooms and also retains the attached staffs.
But a person employed on honorarium basis cannot be considered either equal or above the senior serving government officials because they are just an honorarium paid employees. Therefore, in all fairness this type of discrepancies should be addressed to as it is a matter of pride and prestige of the serving senior employees, and in any case serving employees should be encouraged in all forms. Moreover in certain cases govt. vehicles are condemned and allotted to retiring officer(s) without replacement causing shortage.
Taking into account of all these the shortage of govt. vehicles, designated office accommodation, and attached staff are considered artificially created problems.
Therefore, in order to overcome avoidable problems it will be perhaps good if except for genuine cause the practice of re-employment and condemnation of vehicles, etc the govt. stops.
