Assam Rifles conducts lecture in Kiphire

Kiphire, January 10 (MExN): Kiphire Battalion of Assam Rifles (AR) under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) conducted an ‘Awareness lecture’ on various provisions of Free Move Regime at COB Pungro on January 8. As per a press release from AR, the aim of the lecture was to facilitate convenience in cross border undertakings and to spread awareness about the rules and regulations of Free Movement Regime. It informed that citizens of India holding valid Border Pass issued by competent authorities can enter and stay within 16 km on either sides of the Indo-Myanmar Border. 23 Village Guards attended the lecture.
