Kohima, September 1 (MExN): The Angami Students’ Union (ASU) has issued a clarification on the revised tuition fee structure for the 2026-27 academic session, reiterating that the rates will apply across all areas under the Angami jurisdiction until further notification.
According to a press statement issued by the ASU Secretary for Education, Vimeisino Yakhro, the tuition fee for students of Class 10 and below in rural areas has been fixed at Rs 700 per student per month.
The statement further specified home tuition rates at Rs 1,500 in rural areas and Rs 1,000 in urban areas per student per month, while the home tuition fee is Rs 3,000, with at least five classes a week and a minimum of one hour for each class.
The ASU stated that the teacher-student ratio for a single tuition batch should be 1:6.
It also clarified that the fee structure is applicable to both rural and urban areas under the Angami jurisdiction.
The union said the clarification had been deliberately adjusted to reflect “the transparency and unique economic realities” of both rural and urban communities.
