Dimapur, November 19 (MExN): ATMA Dimapur Niuland Block conducted demonstration on seedbed preparation of winter vegetables and direct sowing methods of field pea at Hozukhe village for women farmers of Aloino SHG on November 16.
Resource person Sentibenla, ATM Niuland Block demonstrated on the procedure of setting up a nursery and sowing of field pea and highlighted methods of proper spacing, application of farm manures, irrigation and mulching.
Further, the women farmers were trained on value addition of pomelo fruit as capacity building under mobilization of farmers group by Nzamo Kikon, ATM Niuland Block. In a separate programme at Yeveto village on November 17, Free Antirabies vaccination was conducted for canines with Dr. Vekuto, VAS, Veterinary Department as the resource person.
