Zunheboto, January 29 (MExN): ATMA Satakha block organized a training and demonstration in Shoipu, Shoixe and Kiyekhu villages on January 23 and 24. As per a press release by the Block, training on soil degradation and soil conservation and demonstration on bench terraces, organic mulching and coffee plantation was conducted in Shoipu village.


As per a press release from Satakha Block ATMA Zunheboto, training on bio diversity conservation and demonstration on bio compost, organic mulching, coffee plantation, training and pruning was conducted at Shoixe and Kiyekhu village.


The training was delivered by Tovi V Jimomi, ATM who explained through audio and visual display with demonstration and also stressed on the importance, positive and negative effects on Agriculture and environment as a whole.


He encouraged the farming community to practice afforestation and less deforestation and further encouraged the farming community to stop hunting animals and birds so as to maintain proper momentum in the environmental interactions. Vote of thanks was delivered by GBs form all the three villages. An interaction session was also held where feedbacks were delivered with all the farmers. Altogether, 96 farmers from the three villages attended the programme.
