Zunheboto, December 20 (MExN): ATMA Zunheboto organized STRY programme under Sub-Mission on Agriculture Extension (SAME) with the theme ‘enhancing sustainable youth employment ability through agricultural skills development and livelihood improvement’ at Akuhaito Sugarcane Farm School during December 2 to 8. A total of 15 participants for STRY attended the inaugural programme held on December 2. It was chaired by Chubatsur Jamir, BTM and attended by the Course Co-Coordinator, Avitoli K Yeptho, DPD ATMA Zunheboto.
Kaiho Achumi, ATM spoke on sustainable employment agriculture activities which can generate income and employment for the youths in the area. Chubatsur, BTM conducted a practical demonstration on the theme ‘oyster mushroom cultivation a source of income.’ A practical demonstration on cultivating Knol Khol in nursery trays and generating income was taken by Kaiho Achumi, ATM. Hekato Assumi, Farm Teacher gave a demonstration and discussed the benefits of cultivating fire ball cabbage variety in the area. Akavi, Farm Teacher discussed banana as a source of income.
During the valedictory programme STRY 6 day certificates were awarded to the participants. Kaiho Achumi chaired the programme.
