ATSU sets up COVID-19 preventive measures

Aboi, MARCH 25 (MExN): The Aboi Town Students' Union (ATSU) today informed that it is all set with precautionary measures to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.


A press release from the ATSU stated that it has started setting up of water and hand sanitizers in every junction and important areas in the town. Despite the lock down for 21 days, the ATSU president, Lipsing, wished to educate the town on the importance of sanitization. 


The ATSU has also informed all citizens to follow orders as advised by WHO, MoHFW,GoI and H&FW, Nagaland to stay safe and help fight back against COVID-19.


“The outbreak of COVID 19 has become an issue to be vigilant in Aboi therefore, those people who have come back from other states/country were asked to quarantine themselves at their farms or fields; food and shelter is provided by their own family,” the ATSU informed. 


It informed that there are about 10 persons quarantined. The union’s General Secretary, Manwoak informed that every possible measure has been taken to fight against the pandemic. He further informed that one person with recent travel history is under quarantine as well. 


The union meanwhile urged all ward task force members to take care of the hand washing units installed in their respective wards.
