Dimapur, July 16 (MExN): The Nagaland Goan Bura Federation (NGBF) today appealed to the Government of India (GoI) and Naga Political Groups (NPGs) to “avoid all sorts of confrontation that led to bloodshed.”
The Federation in a press release requested all to “respect the hard earned peace process and agreements and shun violence" and urged Nagas “not to stray away from peace process but give all out support to solve the long pending issue.”
While appreciating the GoI and NPGs for resuming talks, NGBF said that when the Naga people were expecting the early solution to the Naga political problem, the pandemic has put every activity on standstill. “But now resuming of talk brings ‘refreshing hope’ amidst atmosphere of doubt and uncertainty. It has triggered us to believe once again the sincerity and commitment of negotiations parties,” it stated.
