Dimapur, March 18 (MExN): An awareness meeting was organized at Council Headquarters (CHQ), Hebron on March 18 following the worldwide alarm on COVID-19. According to a press release from the MIP, the meeting was organized by the Health Ministry of the Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim (GPRN), under the initiative of Health Kilonser Dr A Yanthan.
Dr Yanthan stressed that the most effective measure to prevent getting infected and to prevent spreading is social isolation, personal hygiene and awareness. Strict instructions have been given on how to check persons coming to Hebron, the statement added.
No Republic Day celebration
Meanwhile, in a separate statement, the NSCN (IM) also informed that the 41st Republic Day will be observed on March 21 with prayer followed by Presidential Speech.
But in solidarity with the precautionary measures over the Corona virus pandemic, there will be no celebration as normally done every year, the statement said. The program will begin by hoisting of Naga national flag by Yaruiwo, it added.
