School students and others during the awareness programme on violence against women and women centric schemes conducted in Mokokchung town from November 22 to December 16.
Mokokchung, December 18 (MExN): An awareness programme on violence against women and women centric schemes was conducted at various schools in Mokokchung town from November 22 to December 16.
Distribution of sanitary napkins and survey was also conducted in the schools. The programme was organised by the District Administration in collaboration with District Level Centre for Women (Mahila Shakti Kendra) under the banner of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.
Different services provided by for the women in case of emergency which are women helpline 181, Sakhi one stop centre, legal aid services, counseling service and different helpline numbers which will be available 24x7 for the welfare of a woman were shared. Government schemes and programs, training and capacity building for empowerment of rural women were also shared during the awareness.
Distribution of personal hygiene kit and awareness programme on personal hygiene for women was also conducted in Amenyong sector Khensa village, Aliba village and Alongchen compound Sungratsu village.
