Phek, May 5 (MExN): Office of the chief Medical Officer Phek has conducted a sensitization program for Anganwadi Workers (AWW) under Phek Sadar on May 4 at CMO conference hall, Phek.
The district have been sensitizing the frontline workers, NGOs, Church leaders etc to sensitized them to be prepared in carrying out their roles in combating COVID-19.
Chief Medical Officer, Phek, Dr Vibeituonuo Mepfuo in her welcome address have lauded the participants in supporting the department in all the health activities this far and asked for their active involvement in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic also.
The AWWs were briefed on the origin and transmission of COVID-19, its preventive measures, importance of hand washing & social distancing, cough etiquette etc.
Dr Lanuakum, Surveillance Officer for COVID-19 also informed them on their roles to be carried out along with the surveillance team if any positive case arises in the district.
They were also briefed on the precautions and safety measures to be taken during contact tracing and to go along with the ASHAs in the house to house visit also.
Altogether 16 AWWs have attended the training.
