Axis Bank branch inaugurated in Zunheboto

Zunheboto, February 14 (MExN): Nagaland Agriculture Production Commissioner (APC), Y Kikheto Sema, inaugurated the Axis Bank, Zunheboto branch, and YY Tower at Centre point in Zunheboto town on February 11 in presence of the Zunheboto Deputy Commissioner Peter Lichamo, and various public and religious leaders.

Speaking at the inaugural programme, Kikheto lauded the Axis Bank officials for listening to the appeal made by the public and setting up its branch in Zunheboto town. He also urged other banks including Axis to enlighten the public on the importance of banking and to invest on the development activities using CSR funds in order to benefit the people, a DIPR report stated.

Kikheto also advised the public to maintain good relations with the banks and make the best use of their services.

Meanwhile, he informed that YY Tower was dedicated in memory of his father. He thanked his loved ones for their valuable contributions particularly Khehoshe H Yeputhomi for his constant supervision and monitoring to complete the building on time.

He added that a portion of the building has been set up for the people of Zunheboto, irrespective of religious denomination, political and social affiliations etc., and appealed to the people not to misuse the facility but to take care of it with a sense of belongingness for the welfare of the community.

Short speeches were delivered by Peter Lichamo and cluster head of Axis Bank, Dimapur, Ajit Kumar Manmohan Thakur, the DIPR report stated.

Later, APC along with other dignitaries visited Skill Development Project Training and Establishment of Handloom at Zunheboto sponsored by 32 Assam Rifles and Zunheboto GB association.
