DIMAPUR, MARCH 16 (MExN): The Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) has urged the Nagaland Government set up quarantine centers for people returning home while also being prepared with testing facilities in all district centers. A press release from the AYO President, Kekhrie Pfukha said that “many people from our State are travelling daily to different parts of the country,” adding that “many of our children/students are also studying in cities which are already being affected and are under surveillance.” It expressed hope that the government would tackle this issue with utmost seriousness. “We trust that the government is putting its best effort by being prepared with all necessary measures,” it stated, while advising against taking steps only when the pandemic reaches the Nagaland. “It is our earnest desire that the government of the day will stand up positively to protect our citizens from this pandemic,” the AYO said. It meanwhile appreciated the government for suspending classes for schools and colleges and for imposing a blanket ban on tourist entry.
