Kohima, November 14 (MExN): In solidarity with the year-long golden jubilee celebration of Angami Public Organisation (APO), the Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) and Angami Students Union (ASU) will be jointly initiating a sanitation drive on November 20 within Kohima and Dimapur districts.
The sanitation drive will focus not only on keeping our villages, towns, and cities clean but also foster behavioral change in the community for healthier living, according to AYO president Kekhrie Pfukha.
Stating that cleanliness begins with oneself and starts at home, AYO and ASU appealed everyone to give their support to the movement.
“We also earnestly request the youth and student community to come forward and be the torch bearers for a clean and green Nagaland,” Pfukha added.
Further, AYO and ASU also appealed to all village and ward panchayats, the business community, and all government and private institutions to sensitize their members on the importance of cleanliness and a healthy environment.
