Medical staffs of Bhandari CHC along with ‘Back to the Soil Support Group’ team with the donated medical equipments and medicines at Bhandari CHC on October 12.
Wokha, October 13 (MExN): As part of goodwill gesture, Chenithung Humtsoe, Ex Candidate 40 AC Bhandari and his team from ‘Back to the Soil Support Group’ donated medical equipments and medicines to Bhandari Community Health Centre (CHC), Sanis Community Health Centre (CHC) and Baghty Primary Health Centre (PHC) under Wokha district on October 12.
A press release from the CMO office Wokha stated that the team contributed six emergency ward beds, one pair of crutch, medicines and other consumables to Bhandari CHC. The team also donated five emergency ward beds, one pair of crutch medicines and other consumables to Sanis CHC and two emergency ward beds, one pair of crutch and medicines to Baghty Primary Health Centre.
Dr Zubenthung Kikon expressed gratitude to Chenithung Humtsoe and ‘Back to the Soil Support Group’ team for their contribution and hope that more such initiative is taken by the community in future. ‘Health workers need the support of the community to efficiently operate health centres and such contribution makes a huge difference to the health care services,’ he further said.
Dr Caroline, Senior Medical Officer, Bhandari CHC, thanked Chenithung Humtsoe and his team for their benevolent gesture. She said the medical equipments and medicines will be of great help to the health centre and the health workers are encouraged by their contribution.
