BMMU Kuhuboto conducts FI Mela
Dimapur, February 7 (MExN): The Block Mission Management Unit (BMMU), Kuhuboto conducted Financial Inclusion (FI) Mela for Kuhuboto block SHGs and VLOs on January 31.
As per a press release from Chenton Konyak, Block Program Manager, it was held at two clusters at Hevishe village and S Hotovi village. Resource persons for the programme were Mairing Senayung, Business coordinator, Central Bank of India, Dimapur Branch and Khehoto Assumi, DGM, NStCB, NSA branch Dimapur. The guest of honor for the programme was M Yimok Phom, ADPM, DMMU Dimapur.
The resource persons spoke about the concept, types, importance & benefits of Savings Bank Account and also highlighted the various Central Sponsored Social Security Schemes such as PMSBY, PMJJBY & APY. They further explained the process to avail the Social Security schemes.
Yimok Phom highlighted the various activities of NSRLM, sub-schemes of NSRLM and also stressed on the importance of branding and packaging of their products. She encouraged womenfolk to insure themselves and their families by enrolling themselves into various social security schemes made available to them by the banks.
Highlights of the Mela were delivered by Y Agnes Ezung, DC-FI, DMMU Dimapur. She stressed on the importance of awareness of bank particulars, regular monthly transactions of their SHG account and also encouraged them to think big and avail Bank Loans.
Vinito, PMAM spoke about the benefits of Ayushman Bharat and Akali Shohe, BC Sakhi spoke about the concept of BC Sakhi. She highlighted that Kuhuboto being an unbanked block, said the service of BC Sakhi will provide a relief to the villages by providing banking services to the villages.
