BMMU Longmatra Block educates farmers and entrepreneurs on schemes

Longmatra, February 8 (MExN): The Block Mission Management Unit (BMMU) Longmatra Block organized a financial inclusion mela under the aegis of Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission at Tethuyo villager and Longmatra Town on February 5 and 6 respectively.
The mela was organized into two cluster level. One at Tethuyo village comprising of Sanphure, Tutheze, Sangtsozi, Tethuyo and Pongren while in 2nd cluster it comprised of Longmatra village, Tsongphong, Ngoromi, Azetso and New Longmatra with resources persons from State Bank Of India, Agri, National Health Mission, Labour and Social welfare Department.
During the programme, SBI LDM Sarei Muinao encouraged the citizens to open their bank accounts as the Government has now come up with an idea of DBT for any schemes and unless the citizens is having their own individual account they cannot avail any Government flagship schemes and facilities. He shared on various social security schemes provided by Government in the Bank for the citizens like PMJJBY, PMJDY and APY. He talked about the loan facilities provided by bank for farmers and entrepreneurs like KCC and Mudra. He cautioned the account holders especially the villagers to be aware of fraud calls as many were victim with such fraud calls.
Setsiba AFA, disseminate various schemes and programme initiated by Agri department like NFSM, MOVCD, RKVY, PM-KISSAN, ATMA etc besides this projects Government has also introduced PMKYM a pension schemes for Farmers with Agri as its nodal agency. Eligible for this scheme will be from 18 to 40 years where the farmers has to be made a little contribution as per his/her age and the same amount will be deposited by the Government in the pension account and after the age of 60 years he or she will be receive a pension of Rs 3000 per month.
Rothrongki Sangtam, Labour Inspector shares about a pension scheme called PMSYM for poor laborers in an unorganized sector. To enroll in this scheme one should have bank Accounts and Aadhaar card and is eligible for 18 to 40 years of age. For any technical support and enrollment one can visit CSC with required documents he said.
Imitsung District Coordinator PMMVY spoke on the scheme which is specially designed for first pregnant mothers. In this scheme, an incentive is paid to the pregnant mothers if registered in Government Hospitals. He encourages the pregnant Mothers to get in touch with Agnawati works or ASHA at the Village Level for any help during pregnancy and for healthy nutrition.
Yangtsapila, District Coordinator, Ayushman Bharat Scheme talked about the benefits of enrolling in the scheme, if an individual is enrolled in SECC 2011, he or she is eligible for this card and with this card a citizens can avail free treatment from any empanelled hospitals in India upto Rs 5 lakhs, she Said. Earlier, the programme was chaired by Horiba AC-IBCB, and Invocation was pronounced by Pastor Thsarise, Pastor LTBL.
Atsope BPM during her key note address said that NSRLM intervention at Longmatra Block was started only in the last part of 2018 and till now we have 53 active SHG’s and 2 VLOs under the Block. Rothrongse, DC-FI briefed the gathering on the objectives of organizing FI Melas in all the 42 Blocks under NSRLM.
VLO Sanphure and Longmatra Village presented a special number while Kuramong AC-FI and Miss Sepila AC Livelihood delivered a vote of thanks in the programme. The programme concluded with benediction pronounced by Atula, Youth Pastor Longmatra Town Baptist Lithro.
After the programme, many were enrolled for new bank accounts, PMJAY, Pension Schemes and various other social security schemes, stated a press release issued by Atsope Sangtam, BPM, BMMU Longmatra.
Meanwhile, Tethuyo SHGs also exhibit various organic items on sale which make the programme more attractive. Altogether more than 200 SHG’s and Village stake holders, Unions, Church Leaders participated in both programme. BMMU Longmatra Block Thanked Various Nodal Departments for their participation, Tethuyo Village Council, Tethuyo Baptist Church and Longmatra Town Baptist Church for the necessary logistic arrangement which makes FI Mela a grand success.
