Dr HS Rotokha and Kakiye Yehato Swu during the release of the book titled “History of Indian National Movement 1857-1947 (Indiami Ghakhu Küghütha Xülhe 1857-1947)”
Dimapur, December 16 (MExN): A book titled “History of Indian National Movement 1857-1947 (Indiami Ghakhu Küghütha Xülhe 1857-1947)” written by Kakiye Yehato Swu was released by Dr HS Rotokha.
The book is written in Sütsah language.
In a short speech, Kakiye said, as a student, he could not grasp and properly understand the actual meanings written in English and therefore, wanted to write a book in Sütsah “so that Sümi people like him could actually catch the meaning properly while reading books.”
The author said that he started writing the book while studying in Tetso College and continued during his further studies in Ahmednagar College. He finished the book in 2018 but due to some linguistic issues, he could not publish it the same year, informed a press release received here.
While releasing the book, Dr HS Rotokha appreciated the author for writing the book in Sütsah. He said that the book was published with the approval from the Sütsah Academy and shared the idea to incorporate the book in BA syllabus at Sütsah Academy.
