•-Recently, it have been reported that there were dozen or so breaches of the water pipeline to Dimapur and the Chief Engineer was asking the people to bear with the department, as it will require not only a huge amount but also sometime to repair it.
The PHE Department need not worry because, the public does not depend on this pipeline for water and the damaged of the said pipeline do not affect the public at all.
Therefore, it is suggested that instead of wasting huge amount again and again for repair of the said non-required PHED pipeline, it may be better utilized for other beneficial project. It is a fact that pipeline have been regularly damaged by landslide, rolling stones and failing trees etc, every year.
Hence, no further public money should be wasted on this unsuccessful schemes and perhaps it may be better utilized the said area for construction of additional road or railway etc.
