Wokha, December 17 (MExN): District House for Bharat Scouts & Guides (BS&G) Wokha constructed at State Training Centre (STC), Nerhema was inaugurated by Mhathung Yanthan, Advisor, Horticulture and Border Affairs on December 16. The District House was completed at the cost of Rs. 5,77,487 accumulated from LADP fund Wokha, stated a press release issued by Thunglamo Odyuo, Press & Media Secretary, BS&G Wokha.
Advisor Yanthan while speaking at the programme as special guest said, “As a yeomen job, your joining of the band as young scout and guides itself, shows that you are determined and committed to serve the people, and also to prepare yourself for the future to become a good and responsible citizen’ and urged all scouts and guides to excel in their life as they are discipline, had wish them all success in their endeavor.
Yanthan encouraged the district officials to render their service for the betterment of the society and to expose the young scout and guides for the value and life skill, and to guide them out of their studies which are honest for all of us. He also assured to support and assists the movement of BS&G.
Atuo Mezhur Sekhose, State Chief Commissioner BS&G, Nagaland in his short speech lauded the Wokha District BS&G for their effort in constructing the District House at Nerhema. He stated that Wokha is the eight districts to built the permanent District House.
The programme was chaired by Orenthung Lotha, Deputy Commissioner, Wokha cum District President BS&G Association. Construction report was presented by H Orenpomo Ngullie, DOC (S), Wokha and vote of thanks by R. Nzanbeni Lotha, DEO cum district Chief Commissioner BS&G, Wokha.
Others dignitaries present in the programme includes – Khyomo Lotha, former state chief commissioner, Albert Solo, STC (S) BS&G Nagaland, Imlisunep ASOC (S), Zuchobeni Lotha, president Lotha Eloe Hoho cum vice president BS&G Wokha and invitees from Nerhe – Phesa Village.
Earlier, dedication of District House was led by Rev. Mhathung Lotha, Sr. pastor, Kohima Lotha Baptist Church (KLBC) and welcome address by Oreno Ngullie, Guide Captain and special number presented by Cistus school & Tiyi open unit BS&G.
