Call to a special day of Prayer: Sept 12, 2010

With the birth of the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) in February 2008, the mandate of the Naga people has been to call with urgency for a “Meeting of the Highest Level Leaders, at the Earliest.” This was resolved at the Sumi Baptist Church, Dimapur, on September 25, 2008, by 47 organizations, followed by the “Naga Peace Convention”, at Kohima local Ground, February 22, 2009, attested by 45 organizations; and at Saramati Hotel, Dimapur, August 25, 2009, reaffirmed by 46 organizations. Therefore, to “Consummate the Naga Reconciliation” the FNR is requesting all Christian organizations and their Churches and prayer centers to mark September 12, 2010, and take a moment of prayer time in your respective Worship/Mass/Vesper services the following prayer items:

• Pray that God will speak to the Naga leaders to follow His command for reconciliation among all Naga political groups through repentance and forgiveness based on the “historical and political rights of the Nagas.”
• That the highest level leaders will attend the meeting whenever the FNR arranges, without fail.
• That God will remove all unwanted hurdles through His mighty power
• To maintain strict adherence to the commitment of “the cessation of all offensive activities (words or deeds) among the Naga political groups.”

FNR is happy to inform to all, that the NBCC, CNBC, NCRC, and Nagaland Catholic Churches and the Christians in Germany, USA, Italy, African Baptist Federation, Australian Baptist Union, Baptist Union of Denmark, the European Baptist Federation and the Quakers have requested their respective constituencies to mark September 12, 2010, as a special day of prayer for Naga reconciliation. Other organizations from around the world will also be supporting the Naga reconciliation process on the same day.

Let us therefore, claim the promise of God with the right intention:

“Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7: 7

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7: 14

God’s Peace,
