Kohima, October 23 (MExN): The Kohima Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) is set to organise the 27th edition of the Hornbill Night Carnival 2026, taking place alongside the 50th Golden Jubilee of KCCI.
Application forms will be issued at the KCCI office starting October 26, and the final date for submission is November 7.
In commemoration of its 50th anniversary, the office encourages indigenous entrepreneurs to set up stalls and present innovative products.
The 10-day carnival offer participants an avenue to test new concepts, build their customer base, and gain market exposure. To help participants build healthy business habits, every stall owner must maintain a mandatory daily sales register throughout the event.
At the end of the carnival, the organisers will confer awards in three main categories: Best Indigenous Food, Best Indigenous Product, and Highest Sales Based on Investment Ratio.
Marking this jubilee year, a dedicated stage will be set up to invite performing artists to showcase their talents during the night festivities.
To safeguard the interests of visiting tourists and town residents alike, exorbitant pricing is strictly prohibited. Stall owners are expected to maintain fair rates across all ten days. For further details, contact KCCI.
