CCSU resolves to cross-check school functioning

Mon, May 30 (MExN): Chaoha Chingnyu Students' Union (CCSU) held its consultative meeting with Village Council, Village Education Committee and existing government teachers’ employees for reconstruction, reformation and upliftment of education system in the village level on May 29.

A press release from the Union stated Moijum, women leader Chaoha Chingnyu Baptist Church exhorted the gathering and shared from the Bible "what is service to man." Educational intervention assessment and broad analysis was presented by K Thaowang, President CCSU.

The CCSU resolved to cross-check the absentees of teachers, proper functioning of schools and practice of proxy teacher in the realm of academic performance.

Thereby, CCSU asked the head teacher to maintain attendance records of the teachers and shall apply the government policy of "No work, no pay" to all as specified.

The Union also counselled to form Parents-Teachers meeting to address the grievances of the respective pupil in their academic performance.

The CCSU viewed that low literacy rate and low pass percentage lay not only in the hands of teachers-students learning process but that parents play an important role in it.

It urged the teachers, VEC and Village Council to take serious note of parents-teachers relationship in building their pupil.

The Union further informed the teachers of continued inspection on monthly/weekly basis to ensure of their performance and duties. The teachers in turn agreed to work with sincerity and signed a reaffirmed agreement provided by the union. Earlier, the programme was chaired by P Wangshok Vice President. Dedicatory prayer was invoked by Tangying Youth director CBC. P Wangshak, Pastor CBC pronounced the benediction.
