Ceasefire matter is an official business with GoI: NSCN (Khaplang)

DIMAPUR, JULY 13 (MExN): The Khaplang-led NSCN/GPRN has stated that it has been in ceasefire agreement with the Government of India since the last one decade and the status of the NSCN/GPRN as an august national platform of the Nagas, in itself, requires no explanation. A press note issued by the MIP stated that the “ceasefire subject matter is an official business between the NSCN/GPRN and the Government of India” and that the “Khehoi gang’s accusation of Assam Rifles and NSCN/GPRN collusion somewhere in Tuensang only reveals the insecurity, fear and apprehension”.
“With no official recognition, existence or issue either with GOI or in the eye of the Naga people, the Khehoi gang’s desperation for survival has become even more acute with each passing day”, stated the press note while adding that the “Khehoi gang may also enlighten the Nagas as to when and how? In what capacity and where? Did they ever enter into political process or ceasefire agreement with the Government of India (GOI)?”
As such it stated that those at Khehoi should rather be ashamed and try to explain to the Nagas their agendas, interests if any, and also try to inform and convince the Nagas as with what intentions they tried to secede from NSCN/GPRN and give the valid reason for trying to form a new group besides attending to their daily business activities in and around Dimapur but still taking refuge in Khehoi by forcefully occupying the NSCN-K designated camp.
