Kohima, November 10 (MExN): The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Nagaland, V Shashank Shekhar along with a team of senior officers from the CEO’s Office held a series of review meetings with the electoral officials and stakeholders of Kohima district on November 10 at Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner, Kohima.
During the meetings, various issues pertaining to the ongoing Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Roll with reference to January 1,2022 as the qualifying date were discussed, a DIPR report informed.
Among others, preparation and maintenance of an accurate and clean electoral roll; constraints and issues faced by the election machinery; proper implementation of the various Election Commission of India’s instructions etc were deliberated, it added.
The District Electoral Officer, Electoral Registration Officer (ERO), Assistant ERO, Recognised/Registered political party representatives, prominent Civil Society Organizations/NGOs and Booth Level Officers (BLO) Supervisors and BLOs of Kohima district attended the meeting.
