Chakhesang Students’ Union to celebrate platinum jubilee from February 14 to 16

Delegates asked to wear traditional clothes 

Kohima, February 11 (MExN): The Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU) will be celebrating its 75th platinum jubilee from February 14 to 16 at Phek Town under the theme ‘Towards a refined guild.’

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will be the inaugural guest while Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Neiba Kronu will be the cultural guest. MLA Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu will be the jubilee feast father.

Mercy Epao, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Government of India will be introductory guest. Phek Deputy Commissioner Razouvolie Dozo will be valedictory guest. Dr Zavise Rume from SCERT Nagaland will be the theme speaker.

Solidarity messages will be shared by Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) president Kegwayhun Tep, Angami Students’ Union president Bisevi Nakhro, Sumi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu president Hutoshe K Sema and Rengma Students’ Union president Heiko Kent.

Greetings will be shared by Chakhesang Youth Front president Vezhoduyi Nakro and Chakhesang Mothers’ Association president Zhonelii Tiinyi. CSU former president Deo Nukhu will pronounce act of platinum jubilee blessing on day 2.

Meanwhile, CSU Central Organising Committee convenor Mütsikhoyo Yhobu requested all delegates to reach the venue before 12:00 noon on February 14. He also informed that the standing regulation of the Phek Town Council on ban of single use plastic shall be strictly enforced during the programme. All the delegates have been asked to wear a traditional dress during the programme. Yhobu also informed that all COVID 19 SOPs as regulated by District Task Force shall be strictly enforced.
