The Tesophenyu Group Students’ Union, Kohima, on Wednesday conducted its 15th freshers meet under the theme ‘Self reliant’ at the Red Cross Conference Hall with Er. G Keppen Rengma, Director of Industries & Commerce, as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Er. Keppen stressed on the need to change the attitude of depending too much on government jobs and at the same time encouraged the youths to engage in self-employment activities and private firms. He also stressed on the need to have quality education in this competitive world.
Nichu Magh and Mercy Magh were crowned the prestigious title of Freshers’ King and Queen respectively. Earlier, Tezenlo Tep delivered the presidential address. The occasion was also marked by infotainment hour, debate, extempore speech, folk tune, among others.
