Dimapur, December 11 (MExN): Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio along with President of the Naga People's Front (NPF), Dr Shürhozelie Liezietsu and All Zeliangrong Students' Union (Assam, Manipur and Nagaland) has mourned the sudden demise of Hiadwalialung Ilunglung (Dennis) who passed away on December 10 in Jalukie.
Rio in a condolence message said Dennis was a well known political worker and a social activist who was involved in many organizations throughout his lifetime. He served as the President of Zeliangrong Baudi, President of NPF Peren Division, President of Zeliang Rau Clan Peren District, Advisor of Rau Clan Nagaland etc besides many others. “I fondly recall the 13th General Conference of Mera/Sechü/Rau clan which was held on January 8 this year at his residence at Jalukie. He was a strong advocate of unity and it was his desire that we uphold one another as brothers,” the message added.
"In his demise, we have lost a friend and a brother whose absence will be deeply felt in the days to come." Rio along with his family conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that the departed soul rest in eternal peace.
Dr Shürhozelie on his behalf and on behalf of the party rank and file deeply mourned the demise. The message said he was a staunch regional leader who was an active and one of the most senior party leaders who tirelessly worked for the upliftment of the party and for the people in general. Stating that the party will always remember Dennis, the NPF party conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that God grant them solace and comfort. Dr Shürhozelie further prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
The Office of the All Zeliangrong Students' Union (Assam, Manipur and Nagaland) also expressed sadness on the sudden demise of its former President of the Zeliangrong Baudi Nagaland. “A great leader, who has being leading and guiding the society with all his capacities. The Union is disheartened by the void created by his demise, which will be too hard to be filled,” said a message from the Union. It expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that God grant them grace and solace.
