Stepping Stones School celebrates Annual day cum Graduation ceremony

“In this age we see four to five year old talking about peace and love, the idea of justice,” Guest Speaker Dr Lanusangla Tzudir, Publisher and Editor, Heritage Publishing House said at the annual day-cum-Graduation Ceremony of Stepping Stones School, Dimapur today. Are parents doing their part in taking care of their children’s upbringing, she said while posing, “Can we take it forward?”
Nurturing a child, she said is a collective responsibility and not only of the teachers alone.
Despite all the chaos and fear in the society today, she said that there is hope in the promising young students.
In this age of technology, it is imperative as parents “to monitor our children”. “It is important that we nurture their minds in a natural way; she expressed and encouraged the parents to sow the seed of God’s love in their hearts from a very young age.”
In her speech, Akhono, Administrator of Stepping Stones School said that “it is a time to celebrate the small steps we have taken for this scholastic year.”
Started as a preschool in 2010, “today we are proud and happy to announce that we have upgraded the school,” Akhono said, resonating with the school motto ‘building our future,’ she said that the school is all about providing a safe and fun learning environment for the children. To give an edge to our children and reminded the gathering that “excellence is not about being the best, but doing our best.”
Tiny tots presented “Walking Walking” while “Song of light” was sung by Anikali, Tiayin and Nokjungtiba. Nursery girls presented “Totally transformed” while the Nursery boys presented “Sing high Sing low.” UKG presented Pom Pom Dance and Yimji gave the welcome speech. LKG presented a fashion show and Dramatics Group presented “Henny Penny” besides many other delightful shows.
Graduation ceremony followed, where certificates and awards were presented to the graduating students.
