
Dhansiripar, February 3 (MExN): The Joint Co-ordination Committee of villages (JCCV) under Dhansiripar Sub-Division has resolved to hold a mass public rally on February 10 to protest against the State Government’s silence on representations submitted in connection with jurisdiction notified to the newly created district of Chümoukedima.
The resolution was made during the emergency meeting JCCV under the subdivision on February 3, during which Committee “lamented” on the silence of the Government of Nagaland on the grievances of 45 villages communicated through public representations submitted by Aqahuto Tokukujo Kukami Kuqhakulu on November 13, 2021 and Sema-Dimasa Union, Dhansiripar Sub-Division on December 22, 2021.
The public representations were made in connection with the jurisdiction notified to the newly created district of Chümoukedima, stated a press release from JCCV Convenor Lughozhe Swu, Co-Convenor Tsithrongse Sangtam and Secretary Devendra Rana.
As per the release, the mass public rally from 10AM onwards would culminate with a submission of a representation to the State Government through SDO (Civil) Dhansiripar, for review of the December 20, 2021 notification “without further delay. “
The cited December 20 notification listed the areas to be included under the newly created Chümoukedima district.
