Kohima, November 20 (MExN): President, Assembly Constituency Congress Committee (ACCC) cum member Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) under 18 AC Chozuba Ketipra Lohe has tendered his resignation from Congress party on November 17.
In a letter addressed to the President District Congress Committee, Lohe stated "I have the honour to submit my resignation letter to your high authority for consideration and necessary action thereof. It is worth mentioning that, I have been working in the INC party in different capacities viz, President ACCC, DCC Executive, Vice President DCC, Chairman DCC Kisan Cell, President ACCC cum member NPCC till date also a recipient of State veteran award and National veteran award."
However, with the motive to support and strengthen the present ruling PDA Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Chingwang Konyak President, NDPP Nagaland, Lohe in a release stated he has resigned from the Congress party.
Lohe was stated to have resigned along with his co-workers numbering about fifty who have 'unanimously resolved to support Kedecho Khamo, the NDPP official candidate.'
