Coimbatore, December 22 (MExN): The Christmas season celebrations commenced at Karunya University with the unveiling of a 39-feet fully illuminated Christmas tree.
The tree symbolically represents the institution's 39 years of “excellence, service, and commitment to education,” the university stated. In his presidential address, Vice President Samuel Dhinakaran highlighted the significance of gratitude, unity, and service during the festive season.
The celebrations featured Christmas choir performances and dance presentations. A prayer of blessing was offered by Chancellor Dr Paul Dhinakaran, who invoked God's grace upon the university community and the nation.
A major highlight was 'Megaplay 2025', an annual theatrical production themed “LAW – Love Always Wins”. The play involved a team of 146 singers, 110 actors, 89 dancers, 77 choreographers, 21 musicians, 13 dubbing artists, and 147 backdrop and property artists.
The event also included the Annual Thanksgiving ceremony, marking the official start of the university's Christmas festivities.
