•-I have the honour to draw your kind attention to your news report ‘Multiple underground tax add to trucker owners’ misery’ on 12 October 2011. The news report mentioned about the Truckers being aware about “one tax” rule enforced in Zunheboto by the Sumi Hoho. Whereas as there is no such rule. The latest resolution taken by the Sumi Hoho in regard to taxation is that it has kept in “abeyance” all forms of contribution (tax) to the Naga underground groups. This particular resolution was published in your newspaper on 10 August 2011. Whether the truckers are aware or not of any such rule, newspapers/reporters should play a properly informed role and confirm facts before being published so as not to misfeed the public. Hoping that this article will be taken in good spirit.
