Setting a stage for young Naga musicians, an inter-college 'campus live beats' is to be held on December 1, at Science College in Jotsoma.
Adding more fun, Rahul Ram of Indian Ocean from Delhi, will be a part of the competition along with prominent musicians from Nagaland.
Briefing media persons at its office this evening, organizers Clique90z officials disclosed that the group, seeing the talents of the youth in music, envisaged a trend by organizing the contest for college students. They envisaged providing wider space for artist. Much talents have gone to waste due to lack of opportunities and guidance, they said.
A "motivational dinner" and workshop on stage ethics will be another highlight of the event prior to the mega event (30th Nov) where Rahul Ram of Indian Ocean, Ate Kevichusa, a producer who has worked with Channel V and MTV, Mhathung Odyuo of Divine Connection and Atsung Jamir of Audio Garage would be the resource persons during the workshop.
Auditions would be held on November 25 and the 26th at Heritage, Old DC Bungalow, starting from 9 am where 11 bands will be selected for the December 1 show at Science College Jotsoma from 1pm.
Prizes for the campus-level winners will be a cash prize of Rs. 1 Lakh and Rs. 50,000 to the winner and runner-up respectively, besides individual prizes.
Kicking off the first project with a concert, Clique 90z will make the show an annual event although the group is indeed in infancy formed just in September. The team comprises businessman, entrepreneurs, musicians, government employees and contractors.
