Announces free Wi-Fi installation in Patkai campus
Dimapur, September 15 (MExN): Advisor, IT Science and Technology, New and Renewable Energy, Mmhonlumo Kikon said the state government was utilizing the CM Relief Fund generated for natural calamities from well wishers with utmost transparency.
Kikon stated this while addressing the 44th Annual Social at Patkai Christian College on September 15. He claimed that the state government is trying its best to address the natural disaster caused by unprecedented rainfalls in Nagaland. “We are also thankful to the countless of people in the country who stood for Nagaland during this crisis,” he added.
On the occasion, Kikon also announced free Wi-Fi installation for the Patkai college campus for which the state government has tied up with Reliance Jio.
Dwelling on the issue of unemployment among Naga youths, Kikon stressed on the need to focus on a market-driven educational system along with upholding values and morals and pledging towards better future of the state.
Stating that there are currently 75000 registered unemployed youths, he said educational institutes need to design curriculums to enhance skills and produce skilled labors with maximum economic value.
Principal, PCC Husazu Epao welcomed the new batch of more than 580 students to the premier institute. With a community of more than 2000 students from pre-primary to post graduation, he said the institute is growing everyday with bigger challenges and responsibilities towards the society.
Epao also informed that the college is the first institute in the North East to adopt the technology of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). ERP is an integrated application to streamline all the processes including administration, attendance, teacher management, inventory and facilities management, transport, generating reports like examination, mark sheets and also helpful in managing database of the students and coordinating with parents.
