DIMAPUR, MARCH 19 (MExN): The Council of Nagalim Church (CNC) has appealed to all denominations and Churches in Nagalim and all the Churches of Regions, Brigades, Battalions and Units under CNC to observe a day of fasting and prayer on March 22 “for protection of Naga nation from the dreadful pandemic disease caused by Novel Corona Virus or COVID-19.” This was stated in a press release from the CNC General Secretary, Ikato Chishi Swu. “As the blood of Passover lamb applied on the two doorposts and lintels of every Israelite households protected them from the plague of death of the first born in the land of Egypt……(Exodus 12:1-30). May this day of fasting and prayer be a day of applying the blood of Jesus Christ our Lord to cover and protect the Naga people from this deadly disease,” the CNC stated. “The word of God says in Psalm 50:15, ‘call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me” Let us call uponthe Lord for deliverance and protection in this perilous time, and together give glory to His name,’” it added.
