Dimapur, November 13 (MExN): The Council of Nagalim Churches (CNC) on Saturday declared a three-day ‘national fasting and prayer’ from November 16 to 18 with the theme ‘Seek the Lord and Live (Amos 5:6)’.
In a press release, CNC Genreal Secretary Ikato Chishi informed that a two-day national fasting and prayer was conducted on October 30 and 31 last for the ongoing political negotiation at the Council Headquarters, Hebron.
The fasting and prayer was held as the protracted Indo-Naga Peace talks resumed between the Naga talk team led by Ato Kilonser Th Muivah and the newly appointed representative of the Government of India A K Mishra.
During the programme, the CNC said that it was “revealed through a prayer warrior that the NSCN and the Naga people need to fast and pray for three more days, and genuinely repent and turn from their wicked ways for personal salvation and National solution.”
In this regard, the three-day national fasting and prayer has been declared, considering the need of the hour for the Naga Nation, it stated.
The CNC has requested all the denominational churches, prayer groups, individuals in Nagalim and abroad, and all the Naga Army brigades, battalions, units, and regional churches to conduct a three-day National fasting and prayer from November 16 to 18.
“Let us earnestly pray so that God will answer our prayers and save the nation from the impending judgment and deliver us an honorable and acceptable solution at the earliest through genuine repentance of the NSCN in particular and Naga people in general,” it appealed.
