DIMAPUR, MAY 6 (MExN): The Central Nagaland Students Association (CNSA) has questioned the Nagaland State Government with regard to quality of PPEs, accountability in terms of fund release and matters related to the economic condition of the State.
The CNSA expressed concern over allegations that the government “supplied inferior Personnel Protective Equipments (PPE) kits to the frontline workers in the state.” It demanded that a thorough probe be conducted by an independent inquiry committee.
It also urged the government to make public all the funds released by the central government for utilizing in the fight against COVID-19 under the National Disaster Management and “epidemic funds,” NHM, NEC and any other grant's to the state.
The CNSA meanwhile said that the cess on petrol and diesel has burdened the citizens, and called for a rollback of this decision. It further advised the government to create jobs and employment avenues for unemployed youths by providing assistance and logistics for local youths to venture into private and public enterprises.
The association also asked the Nagaland Chief Minister to “clarify his statement on financial crisis of the state.”
