Zunheboto, December 6 (MExN): A collection of poems titled “Peace, Peace, Peace” written by Prof MK Sinha, Department of Economics, Nagaland University was released by Prof Pardeshi Lal, Vice-Chancellor, Nagaland University in the presence of faculty and officers at Lumami on December 6.
Peter Ki, PRO, NU Lumami in a press release said that the book release function was chaired by Dr Anthony V Richa, who made a few observations by way of a critique. He pointed out that the 100 poems were written in simple language based on observations of everyday life. The free verse, rhyme and expression of the book would ensure that readers would not encounter any difficulty in reading the poems. Falling under the romantic genre, the poems are based on the author’s encounters with different people and situations. Thus, the release said that reality of life was the essence of the book.
Brief speeches were delivered by Prof AK Singh, Dept of Political Science and Dr Abemo, Registrar, Nagaland University.
Releasing the book, Prof Pardeshi Lal, Vice-Chancellor, Nagaland University praised the author Prof MK Sinha for his multi-faceted personality.
The programme came to an end with vote of thanks form Dr Giribabu M, Department of Economics. It was also revealed that Prof MK Sinha was ranked 7th by the Poetry & Bard, America in 2019, while in 2019, he was ranked 4th.
