‘Collective Responsibility’ is keyword for any party’s success: Deo Nukhu

Dimapur, November 13 (MExN): NPP Nagaland State annual general meeting was held at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur on November 12. It was attended by senior party functionaries including its Senior Advisor and former Minister, Deo Nukhu along with MLA P Pongom, who has been recently appointed as the NPP Nagaland’s Advisor and others, stated a press release from the IPR & Media Cell, NPP Nagaland State. 

Deo Nukhu said that ‘collective responsibility’ is the keyword of a party’s success and encouraged all members to be supportive towards each other instead of criticizing. He also encouraged the gathering by revealing that many senior politicians and statesmen have reposed their faith on NPP and are eager to join the party in days to come which will further boost the prospects of NPP being a change-maker during the next Assembly Elections.

During the meeting, Atoka Awomi who was recently elevated to the National Committee of the National People’s Youth Front (NPYF), the youth frontal organization of NPP, as its National Vice President was felicitated by State Women Wing President, Yashila Ao. 

Chairing the meeting, NPP Nagaland State President, Dr Andrew Ahoto Sema in the presidential address introduced the new office bearers who had joined the party. He reminded the gathering that ‘we must always fulfill our duties and responsibilities before seeking for our rights’ and also hoped that in days to come, “NPP will surely become an amalgamation of people from different walks of life.” Several new members of the Parent Body and Frontal Organizations including the State Women Wing, State Minority Cell (both Tribal and Non-Tribal) and NPYF were introduced. 

During the meeting, annual reports were read out by State General Secretary (Organization), Limanuksung Longkumer and State Treasurer, Kathu Kath Rengma respectively. During the discussion, numerous agendas were deliberated upon including upcoming Assembly Elections, strengthening of party at the grassroots level, membership drive, etc.

Earlier, invocation prayer was said by Yashila Ao, President, State Women Wing of NPP while welcome address was delivered by Juel Acharjee, President, State Minority Cell (Non-Tribal). A brief exhortation was delivered by State General Secretary (IPR & Media), Tohovi Achumi. The meeting ended with vote of thanks by State General Secretary (Youth Affairs), Sethrongkhyu Sangtam and benediction by State President, NPYF, E Yanghori Sangtam.
