Kohima, December 17 (MExN): The Khezha/Kuzha Tephe Public Organization (KKTPO) held its general meeting on December 16 in Pfütsero town under Phek district.

Minister for Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs Neiba Kronu graced the occasion as the guest speaker. Kronu congratulated the KKTPO team for successfully leading the area and appreciated them for taking crucial decisions for the community.

While exhorting the public leaders, Kronu appealed to the community leaders to take wise decisions to promote peace and harmony in the community as they are essential for progress and development.

He reminded the people about the Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) resolutions on conservation of Zanubu and Kepamodzu forests under Phek district and called on the leaders to intensify its efforts towards bio-diversity conservation of Kepamodzu forest as all the KKTPO villages falls under the Kepamodzu range.

Kronu also reminded the gathering that all the advance nations of the world have its own share of problems and told them that one should not be entangled with trivial issues that hamper progress and development of the society.

While thanking the people for reposing their faith in electing him for the third time as their representative, Kronu spoke on the importance of stability in the government to bring developmental activities to the constituency.

He also spoke on his commitment and determination to develop Pfütsero constituency as a model constituency in the state and reminded the people that it is possible if everyone work together. He said that road connectivity, sports infrastructure, Agri link roads, development of tourism are vital.

Kronu also spoke on the scope of eco-tourism prospects in the area considering the beautiful landscapes and rich bio-diversity and urged the people to conserve it.

He also spoke on the importance of creating home stay infrastructures in the villages to give rural home stay experience to the tourist. While assuring the people about the possibility of developing Nagaland into rich and prosperous state, Kronu stated that the people need to work hard and shared how small countries like Vietnam and Myanmar are transforming fast because of the hardworking culture of the people.

Timikha Koza, president Tenyimia People’s Organization, Mikha Kenye, president Chakhesang Public Organization and Neilo Khape, president Kuzhalhu Zawe delivered short speeches. The programme was led by Kevisanyu Marhu. Welete Kapfo, Convenor KKTPO Nomination Committee presented new team of office bearers lead by Neikhwetso Mero as president which was approved by the house. Vote of thanks was proposed by Zekozo Mero and closing prayer by Rev. Dr. Dingu Kenye, president Chakhesang Baptist Church.
