Competitions on angikaar campaign held in Kohima

As part of the ongoing "angikaar-a campaign for change management," the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Housing for All under the Department of Municipal Affairs today conducted painting and essay competition for primary school students and higher secondary students respectively.
Students from Stella Higher Secondary School, Dainty Buds, Nagaland Police Central School, Model Higher Secondary School and Government Primary School Keziekie joined the painting competition on topic “Healthy Living” at Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) Hall.
Essay competition on “Healthy Living” took place at DC Conference Hall, Kohima. The participating schools include; Stella Higher Secondary School, Dainty Buds and Model Higher Secondary School.
Results for both the event will be declared on December 10, according to Keneingulie Zhasa, MIS specialist, Municipal Affairs department.
Mentionably, angikaar- is a campaign for change management. It also translates to acceptance, through this campaign, PMAY mission aims to converge with schemes/services of various urban missions and other central ministries.
It will also create awareness through a series of Information, education activities.
The objectives of angikaar is to create awareness of best practices on water and energy conservation, waste management and health and hygiene, tree plantation and environment protection, converge with missions and programs of this ministry and other concerned Central Ministries to create an enabled environment for PMAY(U) beneficiaries through their schemes/services, engage communities for a happier and healthier living by dedicating themselves to work towards social and environmental goals and acclimatise families and communities in adapting to the new environment by fostering cohesive living through social behaviour change management.
